Christmas Time

Hi!
How's it going everyone? Christmas is nearly upon us and I really can't wait to see my family again. It's been a while since I could visit last, so yeah, excited!!! The last few week were pretty hard, actually. Lots of work to do; I finished one internship and am now in another one. I was also sick for quite some time and still have the sniffles.
Otherwise everything was quiet. I didn't get too much work done. I've been working on Morning Musume's One-Two-Three PV (+ Dance Versions) - which should be out in a few weeks/days - and I am currently trying to teach myself aegisub template effects - which is harder than it might sound.
I did some translations for a friend, prepared some new project scripts and worked on sorting and distributing projects to our people.

Since Christmas is nearly here I decided to release a few new PVs with Kizuna. Please check them out and maybe leave a comment or two. I'll probably release some again between the holidays, but it depends on wether I'll find help seeding them during that time.

October

With October nearly over it is time to get a new blog post up. Kizuna came back with a few new releases this week, which made me and a lot of other people very happy. Unfortunately there is still no news about the new site for Kizuna *sigh*. It will probably never happen, or I actually have to do it myself.

Also, there was no new release for Hello!Fansubs the past few weeks from my end because I’ve been sick since early last week, and lying in bed most of the time or getting a few things at home done – like sorting through all my documents and file them into the appropriate folders for easy keeping.

Today is my last sick day and tomorrow I’ll be going to work again. Funnily enough, on Friday is a national holiday so I have free – yay! I also got most of next week off which also means I won’t be around.

I’m going to my grandparents to recuperate and get some work done. I’ll take my hard drive with me, with all the fansub stuff on it. I hope to get some work done. We’ve got a few big projects coming up with a lot of releases – which will probably be batch release anyway.

Well then. I’ll try to get some stuff done today, so I can get ready for my vacation time (heh, first being sick, then working for only one day and then going on vacation – this is ridiculous! At least I can get some more reading done!)

On a side note: It’s the time of the year again to apply for a diversity visa. I hope I get lucky this time.

Random Notes

Hey guys, it's me again! I just installed Blogger on my cellphone and thought I should try it out and blog about what is going on.
So, here's a short update.

I finished working on a new H!F concert performance which should be out later this week.
Also HPFansubs told me he had a project ready for QC. Dunno when he's going to actually send it in, but I hope in time for a next-week-release.

On a side note, SC finished timing a few new project, which I can't reveal yet. Let's just say: gorgeous ladies, lots of dancing and tight beats.
After some bitching, because the timing was just dreadfully hard, I got SC to also time the latest MM song for me. YAY!!!
I've been sitting at that project all Sunday long and I am still not done color-coding the script. (I actually posted a screenshot on our groups Facebook page)

Anyways. Lots of things got done and I'm now lying in bed listening to great audio books and awaiting sleep.
I would love to recommend this audio book to whoever loves Fantasy and Dragons, but the story is recorded in German, so so not helping, I know.
Unfortunately until now this story was never written into a book and is currently only available in German. Oh well.

Second Work Week

My second work week is officially over and I'm lucky to say that it was a great week. I got to do lots of stuff and even was part of a meeting.
I'm just glad that this internship seems to be going so well.

This weekend I got some work at home done... cleaning this flat takes a lot of time because of all the books lying around.  I really need to get rid of some junk soon.

Otherwise nothing new here. I got some PV work done, but nothing finished yet. Hope that'll change soon.

Love Hunter, It's You!

So, here's a short update with the latest vids we release in Hello!Fansubs.

The first round was "Ren'ai Hunter" by Morning Musume. Since I loved the song so much I was happy to work on it, even though we actually had more pressing projects. We first planned on letting NottMiyabi work on this, we even got the timings from his group, but due to unforseeable events - his computer broke down - I had to take the project over. After talking with him we agreed that I would be copying his effects from scratch and update the effects a little. Well, I did that and now we've released 2 versions of this PV, since I just adore the dance version and had to add it.

 

After that I was actually supposed to work on the Buono Batch release we still have cued, but after looking through my To-Do list I actually realized that I had effect ideas for this one, so without further thinking about it I just worked on it. It turned out great and we didn't have a concert perf for a while. This was Sayumi Michichige's solo song "It's you" backed up by the now gone but lovely Ai Takahashi and Eri Kamei as back-up dancers.

Since working at my internship now actually takes a lot of energy I'm not sure when there's going to be a new release. We'll see, I guess.

First Week of Work

Hey everyone,

so my first week of work is now over and it was lots of fun. I actually got to do a lot of interesting things and even took part in an event, which I later had to write a report on.
Anyways, it was really fun. I knew why I started studying and working in this field. It gave me a lot of satisfaction to actually earn money with what I learned and love to do. I mean, what better is there?
Fun, fun, fun stuff.

On another issue.
Didn't get to work on much new stuff. Will look the stuff I actually worked on up and write an additional thread soon.

New Anime Karaoke

Wohoo, everyone!

The last few weeks and days were funny, exciting and relaxing.

I was on vacation last week at my grandparents - that was fun and later also relaxing. The exciting news are, that I finally got an internship starting September. WOHOOO!! \o/
I also still have a few job interviews going, so things are looking up!

Right now though I had to finish lots of new projects.

Renai Hunter by MM was done and is pending release for next week at H!F.
I also finished up 4 new Anime Karaoke.

Maji desu ka?!

"Maji desu ka?!" means something along the lines of "Are you sure?!" and yes, we're sure. Here's our latest H!F release.

Morning Musume - Maji Desu ka Ska! it is and we even made it in two different versions.
First is the regular version, which is even in Blu-Ray quality.

Since I really love this song I also insisted on working on the Close-up Mix version of this song.

I hope you will all enjoy it as much as we did!

Just a short message before I leave for the mountains this weekend.

We've got a new H!F release!! \o/ yaaaaaaaaa~y!

This was the 44th single of Morning Musume and also the last one to feature the Turtle (Eri) and the Pandas (Lin² and Jun²).
At first this project was a real piece of *work*, but after consulting with my dear friend OJ and his awesome scripting help I was able to work out the finer points of this video, namely the whole color fiasco. You don't know how long I was working on this (and I actually forgot but about 4 months, I think) until it was finished. I was glad when the muse struck me again and I was able to finish it in a few short hours after having problems with this project for so long. Now it's done and we're actually chronologically on a good way. I think we're not missing a lot of other Momosu releases, per se. We've got everything done from the 31th to the 46th single. The 49th is already in the making, but we're currently missing the timings for the projects inbetween. We also got most single pre 31th done, except for maybe 5? though 3 of them were done by other groups... WOW, actually.

Okay. I need to make a run now. I'll see you all again for the next release!

Release roll-up post!

Sorry, that it took me so long. So here's a comprehensive list of the new releases.

1. Abe Natsumi - Ameagari no Niji no you ni

So, this was the last official single Nacchi released and marks her 12th solo single. I was glad we were able to get this done and it was also a great single to work on, as I was craving a slow ballad style song at the time and this was just the perfect project.
Nothing much else to say about it. Just enjoy!

2. Niigaki Risa - Egao ni Namida ~THANK YOU! MY DEAR FRIENDS~ (Reg+Close-Up Vers.)

So this project was a special wish of mine. It marks the Sotsugyou/Graduation single of Risa and is also a favorite song of mine, even before she covered it. The funny thing about this project was, that I told SC that I would like to do it sometime while uploading the raw, and lo-and-behold the next day I had shiny timings on my FTP that were just screaming for me to work on. Thanks again, SC! Love you! Especially since you did them the night before your Japan trip.

3. Mano Erina with Smileage - Lucky Aura (H!P '10 Winter Kachou Fuugetsu ~Mobekimasu!~) (BR)

So ever since this single came out (way back in her indie days) this song was just the thing for me. I loved the catchy tune and her voice in it and was sad when I found out, that there was never a PV released for this song. Well, I was glad when I found this awesome performance of the song and even more when I got the change to work on it. So please enjoy! It's even in shiny Blu-Ray quality and 60fps!

4. Berryz Koubou - Aa, Yo ga Akeru (BR)

So I actually swore that I would never work on this project (27th BK single) because I absolutely hate the song and costumes (I mean, really, nightgowns?!). Weeell, when the graving for a ballad overcame me again I was kind of force to do it - I mean, we didn't have any others timed. But while working on this project I actually enjoyed working on it. I still hate the costumes with a vengeance, but the song isn't as loathsome anymore. I can even listen to it now! :D

5. Berryz Koubou - Watashi no Mirai no Danna-sama (BR)

So back when we still took requests (by AimxAim, dinbesut, Goblin89) and we were actually pretty much on time with the current releases (wow, that's been a few years ago, actually) we started working on this, but ever since that song came out I had maaaajor problems with the effects. I adore the song, love it in fact, but I didn't get any creative ideas for it that worked with the PV. Now that was annoying, as you can imagine. I even tried to give it a Trainee or someone else, but noone was up to take it. Funnily enough, after finishing with Aa, Yo ga Akeru and looking at this PV again I had a sudden idea and here's the finished product.
SC released this yesterday and I hope you'll enjoy it.


So next up will be projects we determinded via a Facebook poll last week ( :D that was sooooooo much fun, I wanna do it again!!!). The winning results were Momosu with 2 more votes than °C-ute. So, now you know what will be next.

Busy-body

So, the weekend's over and I totally did not have the time to write a blogpost. How amazing is that? But I still was a busy-body. Honest! I actually finished 2 new PVs which will be coming out soon at H!F "central" ;) so I hope it's not that big an issue.

I already posted teaser pictures on our facebook page, so please check them out and if you can leave a comment. (We're desperate for comments [and attention!]...)

It's currently early moring and I worked most of yesterday afternoon and the night on our latest release, so I hope you'll like it. It'll probably be out late this week or early next week, depending on how SC feels, I guess.... o.Ó

I'll try to update my blog this week with releases that I haven't mentioned yet on the blog. So backdated posts, aaaah....

Okay, now time for a little shut eye... or I need to get some food or something, because my foot is jumping which is a sign that somethings not right.

Work in progress

Sorry for showing up so late, again (and I hate that practically every post so far started with a similar apology). I always forget and the god-awful heat doesn’t help any.
SO, I’ll try to update the blog this weekend, so stay tuned for a few posts. Meanwhile, a short summary.

KIZUNA reached 300 releases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dances* YAAAAAY \o/
Finally! Though honestly, I totally forgot about it and was like: "Oh, that’s actually my 300^th video… weird!"

We also got some new H!F stuff releases – even HPFansubs participated and we got loads done!

I also started updating you guys via H!Fs Facebook page what’s going on in the Typesetting/Karaoke department. Soon, there’ll be another teaser picture ;)

I have to admit, I forgot. -_-''
It's been nearly 2 years since I last released something in that group and probably nearly as long I had 2 vids getting moldy for said group, too.
Since I just released some Kizuna videos and I had to look through some of my old folders again, I was shocked to actually see not only one, but two videos still sitting in that folder. OH MY GAWD!!

Well, no time like now. I released them, FINALLY!

Kizuna kommt zurück!

Kurzes Update für meine deutschen Leser.

Ich habe mich entschlossen wieder Videos auf kizu.de zu releasen. Fürs erste wird es wohl sehr viele H!P Videos geben, einfach weil ich sehr viele vorbereitet habe. Es sollen aber demnächst auch wieder Videos von anderen Künstlern kommen.

Ich muss leider zugeben, dass ich einige Zeit keine Lust hatte etwas Neues zu releasen, weil die Seite veraltet ist und mein Programmierer einfach keine Zeit hat etwas zu ändern. Jeder der selbst eine Webseite betreibt weiß, wie blöd es ist, wenn man seine eigenen Seiten nicht richtig verwalten kann. Mehr als Releases hinzufügen kann ich auf der Seite nicht. Keine Umfragen, keinen Kontakt außer durch Kommentare und vorallem kann ich keine Seiten updaten, außer die Release Seiten. Dazu kommt noch der Umstand, dass es bisher immer recht umständlich war Releases hochzuladen und zu veröffentlichen.
Ohne die Hilfe mehrerer Personen währe es sowieso nicht möglich, hier also ein rießiges Dankeschön an Lunix für den Webseed und Uti für die Torrentseite.
Aber auch ein Danke an alle, die an den Releases mitgearbeitet haben, angefangen bei SacredCultivator (Encoder), Lailu (Timer), skarloc (Encoder) und cYcLoNe (Editor).

Auch hier noch einmal der Verweis auf meine Newsmeldung auf Kizuna. Um Antworten wird gebeten direkt in den Kommentaren auf der Seite. Bitte nicht hier.

Ich müsste euch einmal etwas Fragen und hoffe auch auf viele Antworten.
Bisher haben wir fast alle unsere neueren Releases sowohl in h264 als auch Xvid released. Einige der bevorstehenden Releases sind auch noch in dieser Art vorbereitet. Nun, da aber meine Encoder leider nicht mehr so viel Zeit haben, wird es nur noch eine Art von Release geben. Wäre euch da Xvid oder h264 lieber? (Bisher sind wir von h264 ausgegangen, wegen kleinerer Filesize bei guter Qualität.)

Mich würde außerdem interessieren was euch lieber ist: Einige unserer Releases haben kürzlich Blu-ray Videos bekommen. Diese haben wir zum Großteil auch gemacht (wenn sich ein Encoder findet, der die restlichen auch noch machen würde, gibts die auch noch). Blu-rays bekommen ausschließlich h264/mp4 Encodes. Was mich jetzt interessiert. Wenn wir einen Blu-ray Encode von einem Video haben, wollt ihr dann auch noch die kleinere DVD Version, die ich noch rumliegen habe?

Also nochmal kurz zusammengefasst:

1. Wegen Zeitmangels die Frage, ob euch die h264 Encodes alleine reichen, oder ihr trotzdem Xvid wollt?! (ich hoffe auf h264 weil einfacher und kleiner)

2. Bei vorhandenen Blu-ray Videos (von schon vorbereiteten Videos, allerdings nicht in Zukunft) wollt ihr auch noch die DVD Version?

Um Antwort wird gebeten.

Den Anfang machen 4 Konzert Releases. Wird Zeit, dass die endlich raus kommen.
High-King - DIAMOND (BR) (eines meiner Lieblingslieder, selbst bevor es von High-King gecovert wurde);
Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi and Tanaka Reina - Ookii Hitomi (BR) (einer der letzten Songs von Kamei Eri vor ihrer Graduation);
Shin Minimoni - Mini. Strawberry~ Pie (BR) (niedlich, aber leider nicht ganz so toll wie das Original Minimoni);
Yaguchi Mari & Yasuda Kei - Otome no Shinrigaku (ich liebe Kei und Mari zusammen, sie klingen einfach toll).

Batch BR Releases #4

Hey everyone!

Sorry to be late again with my updates! Seems like H!F released some new and shiny stuff.

First of all, we were finally able to release the Morning Musume Blu-Ray Batch. Everyone who loves MM as much as we do, check it out on our webpage or on the Hello!Online Tracker. The Batch includes:

Go Girl is a new and shiny version that we totally worked over. Everything is the same in shiny BR quality.

After we were finally done with all the Batch releases good news came to our ears – BUONO is going to also release a Blu-Ray DVD this year. YAAAAAAAY! We’ll be doing some of the Karaoke again. Unfortunately all the early stuff got done by GTO, who is now a very busy doctor in his homeland and not working anymore. That’s why we’re only going to start with the releases were I took the Buono Project (Singles #6 to #10) over. So stay tuned – we’ll probably release it in late June or early July.

Also, great news for all you Nacchi fans out there. We FINALLY were able to release her very last single. We have had the scripts for a few months now, but we didn’t have a typesetter for it. After finishing all the Batches I was desperate for a calm and soothing song, and I found it.

Happy Easter Update!

Hello everyone!

Sorry that I didn’t have time to update my blog lately. I do write a few tweets every week, so you can read there what I’m doing.

But just for those that don’t follow me on Twitter:

I finished working on both Opening and Ending for the Anime Brave 10. I love the effects and even posted them on my YouTube account. They seem to have garnered some interrest as I had at least 15 new follows since the day I posted it. It's amazing!!!!
I also had a bad moment when I heard I needed to fix some old Macross videos. I’ll probably do that after the Easter Weekend. I so don't look forward to it... :(

After our April Fool’s Day surprise at Hello!Fansubs I nearly finished working on all the Morning Musume BR Re-Releases. I’m glad that we’re going to be able to finish those in time of our 5^th anniversary this year.
I hope everyone will enjoy them as much as we do.

Batch BR Releases #2

Since I already mentioned it before, here's the information on our second Batch release.
We actually wanted to have this one for January, but things came up, a script was stubborn, and it took me forever to find the errors.
I tell you: trying to adjust scripts by other typesetters, especially if you do not write your own effects with the same program, is nerve wracking, seriously time consuming and drove me nuts.
What really made this batch release taking so long was "Haru no Arashi". It was previously done by one of our new typesetters, that came and went within 2 or 3 releases - Meyouu.
I really had no idea about template karaokes n stuff before that, but during the past 3 weeks I actually learned a lot, and also realized - it's not my program of choice!
I love you asscalc!

Anyway! This Mano Batch includes the following singles:

You will especially enjoy the last one "Onegai Dakara", because it was encoded in all it's 60fps splendor and looks like you can dive into the video and touch her face. I was seriously drooling over this video when I saw the encode...I think I freaked out SC quite a bit right there.

The good news with this batch is, that we still had all the scripts up until her 7th major single. We will also do her 8th and 9th single at some point - we even kept the BR raws for that and have scripts waiting - but the sad news is, that we will probably drop her after that. I didn't much enjoy her latest 2 singles and I'm not going to force them on me, or SC for that matter, since he's not the biggest fan of her anyway.

Batch BR Releases #1

Hey there everyone!
I think I forgot to talk about a few releases that came out in the past month from H!F, so here we go.

Late last year UFA released the BLUray DVDs for most PV singles of their affiliated groups, especially Hello!Project. Since we do like us some BR quality, we, SC and I, decided that we'd release our old videos in the new and shiny BR resolution and quality. And that's what we did.
Since we do not have all the scripts to all the songs anymore (okay, honestly, we mostly still have those that I worked on personally, but not the ones that other Typesetters did) we decided to grab those videos that we still had scripts for and release them in a batch.
But since adjusting scripts can be time consuming, and we try to find any mistakes that we previously overlooked, this took us longer than we thought.

Our plan now is to release the videos in Batches according to groups (C-ute, BerryZ, Mano, Morning Musume). Since we never worked on any Smileage related videos we'll skip on those.
That said, our first Release Batch was C-ute.

The Batch Torrents includes remakes and adjusted scripts for the following Singles:

The highlight in this batch was definilty "Kiss me Aishiteru" since this is a new release, that we never released previously. It is also the first finished project of one of our new typesetters. He's unfortunately kind of slow, but he is thorough, which is why it takes some time but the end product is really enjoyable.

Saiunkoku

Yay!!

Yesterday morning my friend, that has been staying here for the past 3 weeks, left and I was finally able to get my apartment back to myself, which also means I was able to get some work done!
I was glad to have someone stay over, but what was first planned out as a 1-week stay turned into a 3-week stay. It was okay - we had lots of fun here, had a lot of different things to do and everyday something new to eat or had friends over - but since we couldn't be alone at all, it was also rather hard on both of us. I didn't think it would turn out this hard to be together with someone for 3 weeks. I guess I was used to being alone and getting stuff done in my own time. What made it really hard was probably that he was sleeping in my living room and I couldn't enjoy my TV, or work at whatever times I want. BUT, it's fine. I had fun, and I know I'm not going to see him for a long time now.
Oh well.

So, I was able to get one project done today. It's Saiunkoku Monogatari Opening and Ending. It turned out quite fine. I actually had everything uploaded when I decided to change something again, so I had to upload an Ending Version 2 right afterwards.
I hope my client will love it.
I guess I'll give you an update and screenshots whenever I get an okay.

So for now that's it.

I haven't been doing a lot of fansubbing stuff lately. I currently have a friend staying over until he is done with his Masters, that's why I'm not really around much.

Christmas & New Years releases!

Sorry everyone! I nearly forgot.

Here's what we at H!F released around Christmas and New Years. After releasing the Shige² concert performance we were up for a little surprise for you guys on the 25th, right on Christmas. We decided to release all the different versions for the second single of MM's kyuuki-members: "Only you".
I have to say it turned out quite awesome. The Font search alone took me several ours, but I think I found the best to go along with the jewelish feeling of the video as well as the effects I wanted to create. YAY for that!!
In total we released all 5 versions of this song, keeping the effects the same, but changing highlight colors to fit the background.

After that, on the 31st, we released the last of our special release spree we had prepared for our followers and friends. This time it was a concert performance from one of our favourite groups (at least from mine). It was one of the few performances those guys had and it was definitly one of the best - both voice and costume wise. We're talking about Zoku v-u-den's renedition of the V-u-den hit song: "Koisuru Angel Heart".
We kept the feather intro of the PV that was released years ago and changed some of the effects.

Hey guys!

I wish you all -belatedly- a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I hope everyone is doing well and had wonderful holidays with your dear ones.

I've been at my grandparents and it was great. We didn't give out any presents this year, but that was fine. We hat lots of fun, a beautiful tree (that I get to decorate each year) and good food and company.

Now the new year started and I've got lots of job applications to write, so there probably won't be a lot of updates for the forseeable future.
I hope that will change, whenever I find a job and have a -not so erratic- scheudule.
I'm also going to update you on the last two H!F releases we put out before New Years. But I'll probably do that tomorrow.
