The Only Winter Love

A while ago there have been a two new Mognet releases.
I'm very happy about those as Mognet was basically the group which inspired me to work on karaoke in the first place some 5 years ago. Later I then joined the team and we became fast friends. They also provided me with a platform to work on PVs with German subtitled videos, which I greatly appreciated. Today Mognet is unfortunately pretty much inactive as members left and the initial group members grew up and started a working life.

Oh well. In January we released two winter-themed PVs.

The first one was Yoshii Kazuya's bakka. The title of the song itself is quite funny as Ba(k)ka can actually be read as "Idiot", but in this song it's considered meaning "only". The song is simple in its sound but the meanings of the lyrics are very deep, so please make sure to read them thoroughly. We decided to keep the karaoke effects very simple and we played around with the blinking lights of the night to go with the flow of the city. This PV also featured artists of the very famous band KREVA!

Kumama loves this song and so I was very pleased to hear that she enjoyed this! I hope you will too.

The other we released was a song I insisted on doing because I really loved it. We had it lying around for over 2 years until I finally had the time to work on it. We're talking about BoA's Winter Love, a quite ballad where BoA is encased in ice cubicles singing about leaving the love of her life if it's better for it.

Latest 2 releases

Oh, sorry for being late on this post.

Yesterday I heard that I was not going to take part in the exam which would have been tomorrow. Oh, well....

Here's what we released last week:
The first one was the last single this girl released under UFA, before leaving the whole Hello!Project thing. This video was released under H!F somewhen Saturday before last? Or so. I don't really remember and it's not like it's important.
I really loved this song when it came out and was happy to work on effects. I tried to make them a little billowy and cloudy as it fit with the background. It's actually not one of her best song by far, but oh well! Here's Abe Natsumi's - The Screen.


The other video we released is a really "old" one. At least, it's old-ish. The song is called bakka by Yoshii Kazuya; With a cameo from KREVA who's posing as a retailer here, a really popular japanese artist. I can't say that the song is terribly exciting. We used subdued effects with sparkling lights, as the main character of the mini-drama is running around at night in the entertainment circles, or whatever it's called.
As unexciting as the song might be as exciting are the lyrics, which are really great. I also liked that it's a christmas themed song, so please enjoy this Mognet release way after christmas. It still actually fits a little as it's snowing like crazy around here!

Mognet Christmas Present

I just saw that there were new releases over at Mognet! I actually thought we'd release them after Christmas, but obviously we didn't.

These two are releases we had done for some time, but kept till christmas, because they fit.
Unfortunately I should have done more than those two videos, but as you can guess, I didn't have the time to work on more of them. Hopefully I'll have some inspiration while being at my grandparent's. Though I do not know if it will change anything, as it's awefully hard to work with my laptop on any videos, while not having a decent mouse but a touchpad instead. *sigh*
I'll try to figure something out eventually. Maybe I can use the mouce my granny has on her computer. We'll see.

Hey Guys!

Right, I'm back!
Sorry for the lack of news, but I had a few (actually a lot of) tests in the last 3 weeks and had to prepare and revise for most of them. Since my test time is now officially over for this year it's time for some new sub releases~~~~!

Since having finished the last of my exams on Wednesday I've been quite busy finishing new and old projects for various groups. There's going to be quite the release spree when I'm done with everything, but for now, let’s focus!

I've been neglecting most of my work adding up at Hello!Fansubs because I really didn't want to work on any squeaky girl songs for the last few weeks, then me having a I-must-play-WOW-or-I-am-going-to-parish-moment followed by an do-I-really-need-to-study-I-can-just-ready-5-books-in-3-days-issue. Anyway, since I've done all those things (and god, the books were so awesome) I'm now back to working non-stop on karaoke stuff (which can't be healthy either, but who cares?) and it's getting along quite well!
But what we're actually going to release I'll have to keep it a secret and tell you about it just before it gets released ;) so bear with me. Let's just say, that I kept SacredCultivator in a near-constant state of encoding.

Today I started finishing some of my nearly-done karaoke MVs for Mognet. We're actually going to get some Christmas songs out this year; I'm so happy! I hope it's going to be 4 MVs but I'm not sure, yet. We'll see when the time comes.

Okay, I'm off to get some more playing done, because I'm behind a few days now and I want to see if my friends are on to go on some mischief.

Happy Birhtday Mognet + Releases!

Here's the last batch of Mognet releases missing on this page. These were actually released in co-memoration of our 7th birthday! We worked hard on these videos, which I finished while staying at Kumama's and Stiltzkin's house near Chicago this summer. We wanted to have a release of two of our favourite Bands and we did it!! (We also released a new JTV clip with Morning Musume members in it in a funky baloon game. Check it out! It's really goofy!)

The first to start that day (which was actually Halloween, so the 31st October) was one of Arashi's more recent singles (though actually now it's already old again, but it was new back when we started it somewhen last year?!). Arashi - One Love was the theme song of one of the most beloved japanese Dorama series' in a while: Hana Yori Dango Final Theme, though the song itself was actually for the movie release of the Dorama. It was still an awesome song, even though, and there I have to agree with Kumama, the guy who edited that video actually layed on a lot of photoshop grafics and blurring. Unfortunately the quality of the raw wasn't too good, so bear with us there. It looks all block-ey and blurry.
The other release we did, which is still one of my personal favourites, is by the a w e s o m e group called SAS. Well, most actually won't know that name, so here's the full name of the game... (sorry, had to write that as it rhymes. *lol) Southern All-Stars - kami no shima haruka kuni. I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that band. It's also a really summer-y song and when I worked on that one it was still hot outside! I'm just happy that it finally was done and now I can move on to other songs!
Sorry for the lack of summer Songs this year. We actually had a few other planned, but due to circcumstances we weren't able to finish them - so you'll probably get them next year! HAHA!

New MogNAV release!

Nearly 8 months after Mognet's last MogNAV release we finally bring you another one. I'm sorry that it took so long, but MogNAV was actually founded for two new members who wanted to join Mognet but basically work only on Anime videos. Back then we decided to open up the new section and allow them to release Anime Videos there. Unfortunately most of the up-till-now released MogNAV releases were done by me.

I kinda don't understand these guys. We actually made the changes and allowed them to work what they actually wanted to work - after we saw that for them working on normal PVs was impossible - and now they don't D O anything.

Frustrating, really. Now I have to do work for that particular section too. It's not like I don't have enough work on my hands right now. The new Christmas releases are coming up and I'll have to try to get a few things done. I hope to be able to finish the vids Kumama asked me to do.
Let's just hope that it works out!

Anyway. Here's the new MogNAV release we actually put out on Mognets 7th birthday!!!
And it was Halloween too! Eureka 7 - Days by FLOW (and yes, it's the same effects as the PV just diffrent colors, kanji and positioning!)

Pre-Birthday Releases!!

Leading up to my actual Birthday last October 16th, Mognet released a few other videos in September. I was actually quite happy to have them out of my work queue and about time to release for you guys to enjoy.

L'arc~en~Ciel - Daybreak's Bell, actually a project first started for my own group Kizuna by a dedicated fan of Gundam 00 named Esaldo, who actually planned on doing the effects himself but later didn't want to anymore *sucks in breath to finish that sentence*, was released at the start of September. It turned out quite good and even Esaldo like the outcome, so I'm happy. Well, I don't know what more to say, as I'm not the L'arc~en~Ciel fan myself and their videos have been quite boring as of lately.

The other video we released in September was actually one we had started 2 years prior of the release. It was actually nearly finished, but due to being another Kizuna-first video and initiated by a good friend of mine who was still a little grumpy about some problem we had with the last project he initiated, it was delayed. But after some time, and a lot of good-will, finding new raws and actually having to rewrite some effects because of the new video resolution it was finally released at the end of September. This marks our second release by that group: AKB48 - Keibetsu shite ita aijou

Both videos are available through torrent (at least they were). If you need someone of us to seed it please write a short notice on Mognet's forums. Thanks!

Mognet Summer Releases!

Well, that couldn't be all now, could it?

You're right! Of course there were more videos released than those three. Give me some credit. I might not be as active as I was at the beginning of the year but I'm still not THAT lazy.

Anyway. It's time for some more releases now, right?
(now that I finished breakfast I can actually go on...)

It seems like the farthest behind I am on keeping you up-to-date with Mognet releases, which we'll remedy right now.

The next video after releasing Rip Slymes' Galaxy back in May was our July release with is one of my all-time favourite hip-hop videos eva!! This group was actually a sideproject by no other than Namie Amuro, which is Suite Chic, where she explored a more hip-hop-ish music style then her normal R'n'B music. Anyway. She collaborated with A.I. another well known hip-hop artist to perform Suite Chic - Uh Uh... feat. A.I.
In September we released another two videos. On the one hand we had Shounan no Kaze - Ougon Soul and on the other we had THYME - Fly Away. Two very diffrent songs, that's for sure, but still, both had a certain charme to them. (On a side note: That THYME song was actually another anime opening. To be exact, it's the first Opening of the anime Mahō Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora)

Another batch of releases

Hello folks,
I'm so slow again, but here they are.
The new releases.

First was H!Fs second Elder Graduation perfromance: Aya Matsuura's lovely Up-beat song Oshare, which I just adore. Thanks and kudos to asagi who timed it for me. *chu*And yes, I did use that same effect for another video, and yes again, I just changes some small things, like the stars and falling flowers instead of snowflakes. I'm aware that it's totally unoriginal from me, but I just loved the effect on this song. it fit's so well, and I'm actually sick of doing these jumping-get-bigger-effects. ^^ Sorry if it offenses you ;P.

The second video that was released was at Mognet. I don't know if you all know, but we just adore Tsuyoshi Domoto and we can't keep this song from you. It's actually one of his side projects after Endlicheri*Endlicheri "ended" and has a more techno/electronic feeling to it. But what makes this release really special is the fact that the video to this song was animated by Production I.G, the company responsible for Ghost in the Shell, XXXholic, Blood+ and a host of other great anime.

Update

new shiny releases available...

First on the list was a new performance of one of Hello!Projects elder concerts. It's actually one of the few performances of this song, as the group went mia shortly after the song was presented on the - at that time - "new" album. Yasuda Kei, Yoshizawa Hitomi, Ayaka - WOW WOW WOW (H!P '08 Winter ~Kashimashi Elder Club~).

The other release was for Mognet and it had to be done on a specific day, which is the reason why it's only out yet. I wasn't able to finish it last year. Here's Remioromen - 3gatsu 9ka (9th march) which is also the theme song for one of the best japanese doramas to date - 1 litre no namida. Do you recognise the actress? Yes, it's Horikita Maki, the actress of Nobuta (in nobuta wo produce, the dorama Mognet subbed a few years back) and numerous other plays!
Well. as I'm time-pressed... that's it for today. see ya again!

BTW; before I totally forget it.This will probably be released within the day. As Kumama is a really big fan of the old EXILE (as I'm too. God, I dearly love ki-zu-na) as well as some of the older songs by glay, this was a project we just couldn't pass by. Considering that we're huge fans of the bands it actually took us a while to finish it, but poor me is just a mortal and I do have to do other things then working on karaoke too. Did anyone see the Academy Awards a few days ago? Yes? No?
Well, those of you who did will probably recognise our next video release. I really like this song though I'm not sure if it was a good idea to let it be sung by AI. I do think she's better off with rapping.
Anyway.
Here's our latest release. I worked on it because I thought the song was lovely and I hope you'll all enjoy it. A day before yesterday - at the Academy Awards - the movie to this song was awarded with the best foreign film oscar, and is known as "Departures" to english fans.Mognet presents you with AI - okuribito.

The Perfect Way of Life

Well, guys. We can't have a release Spree without some bands that have been around a looooooong time. Which is why we present you with one of mogents favorite bands. Back when we started this project it was brand new but because we are busy folks we couldn't finish it back then. We here at Mognet are huge B'z fans, as you may know. So it's only proper that we have more of their great catalogue of releases for our PV section! We're starting to remedy that situation today by releasing "Perfect Life", which wasn't a single but a track from their most recent "Action" album. Plus it has creepy clowns and other circus folk! Yay?

Another two releases

Mognet is putting on a show and is releasing another two videos for your pleasure.

The first one is one of Lailu's favorite anime songs Jyukai. You may not have heared of that group if you're not into anime music, but it's a really great song. Still, even if you're not a fan of "Fate Stay Night", anata ga ita mori is definitely worth checking out! The dreamy, peaceful feeling of the song makes it a perfect anime ending theme.
But since it would be boring to just have that and we know that some of you are anime fans we're also releasing the ending song's creditless version.

Mognet is back!

Felicitations! Mognet is back!!
And we're coming back with 3 releases in a row (and yes, I'm behind with writing about it, again. *sigh*).
Anyway. It's time that Stiltzkin and Kumama are back so now we're able to get these videos out that have been sitting around my harddrive for nearly 2 months.
We're glad to show you three new masterpieces.

The first release is Nakashima Mika - Yuki no Hana were she's rambling about in a mad cabin fever as she's walled in from ice. She's alternating between freezing herself for future generations to find a cure for her anorexia and dressing in cheap wedding decorations. Think I'm joking? Check it out!
Our second release is a classic. It's a re-edition of one of Mognets first releases ever. Kick the Can Crew - TORIIIIICO feat. Cassette is an example for fine japanese rap, with hillarious lyrics, plenty of fun, snow spitting and a lot of crotch grabbing. You definitly shouldn't miss this out.
Our third song in this row is definitly one of my favorites. Are you also fed up with this much snow we had in the last few months? Yeah? Me too. And the couple in this video shows us what we can do while it's snowing outside. What better to do than rolling around in bed and doing naughty things? Riiiiight! Ketsumeishi knows their thing which is why they show us a beautiful song in fuyu monogatari (winter story).
Well, boys and girls, I hope you'll all enjoy it.

A Message from Mognet!

I totally forgot to share this with you!

Stiltzkin, Kumama and I have been exchanging e-mails over the last few weeks. This is what Stiltzkin wrote to me last week.

Renovations are actually coming to a close (thank god). We're thinking
there's about 1 week, maybe 2 at most left before they are completely
done. We've actually already began moving our furniture back in, so we
should have at most 2 more weeks of hard work, then we can start
returning our "normal" lives! So yes, we'll be able to look at QCs and
such pretty soon, I think! Believe me, I'm looking forward to getting
back to it.

Anyway, we'll keep in touch, and I promise you this stuff will all be
over soon, and we'll be coming back to Mognet :) I appreciate all of
your efforts to keep everyone else positive, because we really have no
intentions of leaving!

So, probably just another week and we'll be back!! YES!

New Section opened at Mognet

Let's keep the holiday season going! Hey, if the retailers insist on still playing irritating Christmas carols until New Years then we can release a holiday song today! No one argues with extra presents a bit late, now do they? This also serves as the landmark first release in our "Concerts" section! Hope you enjoy this and the releases to come!

I'm happy to announce these great News and present you the first video in our new section.
Since I'm a big fan of ELLEGARDEN I really wanted to do one of their songs, so here it is:
ELLEGARDEN - Santa Claus from their Bring Your Board!! 2004 tour.ELLEGARDEN was a J-Punk band that unfortunately decided to break up earlier this year. I'm still devestated about this news as I was really fond of them and have several Album CDs at home.

BAKK1 dekita!!!!! Mognet on hiatus... preparing for tests!

Hello everyone!
Okay, this is a short update on how things are going.
I finally finished my BAKK paper. I totaled it on 32 pages and a lot to still be desired. Given that I wrote 17 of the 32 pages in 14 hours straight, I'm quite impressed myself.
It was one of the hardest things I ever did, since I soon realized, that I was running into a great big bubble of information but no way out. I saw that I wouldn't be able to write it all down and break it up in different chapters.
I had to really cut it short, as I was running late and I had to try to get across what my paper was about. Since I am planning to re-use the paper and continue my research next semester, I wasn’t overly concerned about it.

In the end I went with really explicit descriptions of internet and internet communication. I also researched non-commercial and commercial communication and did a whole chapter on computer mediated communication. I skipped over the chapters of weblogs, MUDs and chats and wrote a small part of the paper about motivation and self-portraying.
I just hope that it’ll be positive. I don’t need anything else. We’ll see tomorrow!

Also on a short notice: Mognet is currently on hiatus.
I think I actually already wrote about it but just wanted to say again, that Kumama and Stiltzkin finally moved into their new home. They are currently renovating which is the reason we’re not really active.
We do hope that starting next year we’ll be up to our normal speed.
Let’s just hope everything goes as planned.

The shock of my life I probably had on Sunday. I was looking up my test notes and remembered that this week was exam week and I still had a few tests I wanted to make. So I hurried up and looked up the dates. As it was, all of my tests would have been on Monday, but given the rule that you had to be registered for the test two days before I was totally screwed!! In the end I couldn't participate in any tests. My last hopes are the tests at the end of January. Let's just hope that I don't forget about them again, though in the long run, with my paper having been due yesterday, I’m actually glad. The good thing is that I remembered that I still could write one of my political science tests which will now take place Friday next week. So I’m again not going to be around much. I actually already enrolled for it.
